DIY Father’s Day Handprint Baseball

Here is an easy DIY craft for all my mom’s looking for a Father’s Day gift. This craft is ideal for those who have avid baseball lovers in your house. My son has been playing baseball recreationally for about 5 years and is now fully immersed in little league throughout the year. My husband has always taken an interest in playing catch, going to the batting cages, practicing, and even coaching for the team. You only need 3 items to bring this craft to life but I’m sure dad is going to love how special it is. What could be a better way to show how much we love and appreciate him? Check it out below!

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Coat your child’s hand with the black ink.
  2. Gently, place their hand on the ball and grip it carefully to ensure a clear print.
  3. Take a practice run. Sometimes it can take a few tries before getting it perfect. Especially if you’re child isn’t old enough to hold the ball on their own.
  4. Allow the ball to dry overnight if possible. The longer it dries the less chance of it smudging!
  5. Now your handprint baseball is ready for display. Pick the display stand of your choice. I found this cute stand on amazon.
  6. Give it to dad and watch him light up.

Let’s face it, kids grow up so fast! I can remember looking back when my son was just a little peanut, playing catch with dad. Before we know it he will be grown. Dad can always cherish this handmade gift that will be displayed as a constant reminder of the special bond they share in their love of baseball and each other.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
