Instant Pot BBQ Ribs
Calling all my baby back rib lovers, this one is for you! Create delicious, tender ribs in the Instant Pot. Then slide them in the oven for a broiled finish in less than an hour. I am notorious for waiting until the last minute to decide the menu for dinner. Meaning, sometimes I just don’t have all day to slow cook a tasty meal. I’m all about convenience. These ribs take little preparation and came out so tender and full of flavor. When I say I LOVE my Instant Pot, I truly mean it. Y’all seriously don’t know what you’re missing out on.
Check out the recipe below!
INGREDIENTS
1 rack baby back pork ribs
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 cup water
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup barbecue sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
- Mix brown sugar, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, parsley, salt, and pepper together. Rub seasonings all over the ribs.
- After putting the metal rack inside the Instant Pot, place the ribs inside. Make sure to have them standing on their side so that they wrap around the inside of the pot.
- Pour in water and apple cider vinegar into the bottom of the pot. (Try not to wash off your seasonings on the ribs!)
- Secure the lid in place and make sure the seal vent is in the closed position.
- Press the Meat button and set for 25 minutes.
- Afterward, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes. Then open the seal vent to quick release the rest of the pressure.
- Using tongs, carefully remove the ribs from the Instant Pot and lay on a foil lined baking sheet.
- Brush Ribs with BBQ sauce and place in the oven on High Broil for 5 minutes. (Stay nearby to watch for any burning)
- Enjoy!
My son has only ever had ribs from a restaurant and let me tell you, he inhaled them and kept saying how good they were. He is a picky eater and will tell you exactly what he thinks of your food, good or bad. He is definitely my little food critic. If he enjoys something I make, then mama is winning! I paired these ribs with a crisp salad and seasoned fries because you just can’t have ribs without fries, right?
