DIY Chrismas Ornaments

Here is a fun craft to get you and your kids in the Christmas spirit. Homemade ornaments are the perfect project to put a little personalized touch on your family’s Christmas tree. You can never have too many ornaments! As the little ones continue to grow older, you can hold onto these crafty keepsakes. These diy ornaments also make the perfect gifts for family members. Grandma and Grandpa love homemade gifts!

What you will need:

  • Clear plastic ornaments
  • Craft paint
  • Sequins, glitter, ribbon

I found a craft set on Amazon that included all of the above items!

3D Wonder Paint Set. It worked out perfectly for us!

Directions:

  • Divide your ornaments. The set came with 6 ornaments in various sizes. I let my kids decorate 3 ornaments each.
  • Set out all your paint colors.
  • Place each plastic project sheet down for your kids.
  • Let them create their own designs on their sheets.
  • Let the painted designs dry overnight.
  • Once fully dry, peel off designs and place on each ornament.
  • Tie ribbons on the top of the ornaments.
  • Place on your Christmas tree or get ready to gift them!

This craft was not quite as messy as our DIY pumpkins since we didn’t need paint brushes and the paint stayed on the project sheets. Well, for the most part, it did. I think my daughter brushed her arm over her sheet once or twice, lol. Make sure to wash it off quickly, before it dries. This will help prevent stains! We are loving our new Christmas tree additions. Look out family, you may see a gift in the very near future!
