Command Center

My family is constantly on the move. Between work, school, practices and activities, it can be overwhelming trying to keep track of it all. I need some help staying organized. I came across the idea of a home command center and I knew immediately that this is what I needed.  A central area where I can keep track of dates and times of baseball practices/games, school events, work schedules and family activities. I also need to collect paperwork. My kitchen table winds up being the keeper of most papers, but I think it is time to find them a new home. Let’s just say I am ready to create a place that looks neat, organized and has functionality.

Where will I create this center? There is an awkward wall located in the kitchen, that is in a prime area for the command center where it will be in constant view. This wall is long and narrow, while I want to fill up the space I need to keep in mind not to overwhelm it and make it too cluttered. Here is what I used:

Dry Erase Calendar to write all activity dates/times

Mini Chalkboard to keep track of our weekly meals

Hanging Clipboard to keep track of groceries needed

Wall File Holder to keep all important paperwork such as school forms

I found all items on Amazon! If you don’t know, now you know, that Amazon is my favorite place to order. Seriously, who doesn’t love free 2-day shipping haha. Anyways, I have linked the items for you. I decided to add a small decorative sign above the center. I am excited to keep the whole family a little more organized going into this school year, as well as keeping some clutter off the kitchen table. The command center turned out great! I love walking into the kitchen and being able to take a glance at our day/week to see what is going on. Need something from the store? Just write it down on the grocery list. Oh, and all that paperwork that lived on my table has been relocated to my new wall file holder. What can I say, it’s the little things that excite me.  Here is to being one organized Momma!
